DVINFO.NET - home sweet home...

Am I alone???

Each day....I visit 5 different discussion forum websites to talk about DV. And each day, I look at the other 4 first....and then save DVINFO.NET (the best) for last.....

Not taking anything away from the other sites, but they are all biased towards one camera or one manufacturer, or one SOMETHING.... but Chris Hurds DVINFO.NET.....is like America! and I feel happiest and have the most fun and learn the most here, because its the most un-biased, un-controlled, most DV melting pot on the net. IMHO *smile*

How do you guys flip through your sites?

well i don't know of many besides simplydv and camcorderinfo, but this site undoubtedly has the most friendly and informative bunch of people i have ever communicated with. This is usually the ONLY site i visit for any and all video related things.

I hit them all too.

One thing I do - I copied the direct link to "VIEW NEW POSTS HERE" on DVinfo. That's my "Home" in my browser, so when I fire it up it automatically gives me the latest posts.

DVinfo seems to have a steady stream of posts worth reading. Without the "VIEW NEW POSTS HERE" feature I would have to say I'd probably not post so often. It's a feature that allows you to stay on top of every single post...it's key for me.

One small thing I'd like to see is some enhancements to the postings features. I've seen on other sites where you can click a radio button "Add Link to Your Post" and it pops up a little window that says, "Add link here - http://". You type in your URl and hit the "Submit" button...it automatically puts in the hyperlink. It's quick and easy. That's the only thing I'd like to see on this forum...it takes to long to make hyperlinks. Otherwise, this site is so clean..no ads flashing, people have generally good writing skills and don't often talk in cryptic form. It's pretty easy to understand and you can always expect some type of reply to an intelligent posting.

DVinfo is the best video forum in my opinion!

I love this place. As I read about the different facets of DV, information sometimes becomes vague or often ambiguous in even the best written books on the subject. To gain more insight and to take away the abiguity, I visit this forum and this forum only. I want to personally thank all who respond to my questions
on this forum. I would be lost without you. Thankyou Boyd and Chris.

I agree. DVinfo is the best forum!
I have learned so much from this forum.

There are other forums I used to visit earlier, but people seem to be less polite to each other when they can hide behind some nick names.
That never happens here. So that we have to use our own real names here on DVinfo is very good.

So all the best for Chris and all the moderators!
