vx2100, or waiting for a pd170, or an xl2 in remote future?

Hi,
i'm an mx500 owner, I'd like a new camera mainly for wedding/ events, but I would to be able to do some film or documentary...I would the most versatile camera...in your opinion what can I do:
gain money for a vx2100 in short time?
wait and gain more money and choose a pd170?
wait a lot, gain a lot of money and choose the xl2?

thanks,

bye...

I would choose XL2 or PD170 because they have integrated XLR connectors which will give you more flexibility in audio recording. In fact IMHO you can get great results with all those cams. Be prepared also to invest in some light equipment, extra batteries, decent tripod...
