Will Sony ever upgrade the DSR250?
I've had the DSR250 for four years and it's by far the best camera I've ever owned. I'm surprised Sony hasn't announced a successor. Has anyone heard anything?

I am not sure they will replace it. They are now releasing the Z1, which will be in the DSR250 price range. And then you go up to the DSR390, which is a much better camera than the 250 and (camera wise, not recording) probably better than the Z1. Carlos |

The Z1 is the professional version of the FX1 (HDV) from Sony. It'll be available from February.
