Apple Stops iDVD Patch.
Read a story over the weekend that APple stopped one of its resellers from selling a patch to iDVD allowing it use external firewire DVD drives.
'Tis a shame...

It has to do with MPEG license fees paid by Apple on OEM drives. It wasn't so much Apple trying to eliminate competition, but having to enforce their license or possibly loose it (or pay additional fees themselves).

'Tis a shame... -->>> Wow that would have been a very nice patch. To bad that it did not make it out. |
