What is progressive setting
I was going thru the settings on my ag-dv7 panasonic camcorder last night when I noticed a setting for progressive, turned 'off' .
Is this suppose to be turned off. I'm doing a wedding this weekend, should I have it on for better results. |

Without getting into all the technical jargon (search the threads for that), progressive scan changes the way that the camera processes the video. If you turn it on you'll get video that looks more like film at the cost of your low light ability being sacrificed just a bit. So it's a trade off.
I recommend that you just shoot it in the standard mode. Focus on your camera work. Ben Lynn |
