any difference between kata panda 401 and 402?

Hello dear All,

I am looking for a backpack for my dvx100a and reading the forum here I figured kata panda might do the job. Now while searching for it online I found that there's kt-ve401 and kt-ve402 versions (402 supposedly replaces 401 according to Kata site). Now the questioni is what are the differences between these two? Any advises on where to buy it cheapest would also be appreciated.

Thanks a lot and looking forward for your reply!

You can still see both products at Kata's website. The 401 is discontinued and is not on B & H Photo's site, however the 402 is. Some retailers may still have the 401 in stock as it was only recently discontinued. I reviewed the 401 and it is a great bag, designed to carry laptops along with camera gear (either still or video).

You can review all the specs at Kata's site linked above. The newer 402 is about 10 to 15% larger and has slightly different materials and construction (better top protection). I believe they have the same accessories.
