"Collateral" shot in HD DV

I read that Tom Cruise's new movie "Collateral" was shot in HD DV. Does anyone know what camera they used? And what process did they use for the film conversion? I hear the definition is awesome and the shots Michael Mann used quite well suited to the format.

On Collateral, Michael Mann used the Thompson Viper, Sony CineAlta, and film....for more info, there is already a thread going here..
