Getting your films onto IMDB
Hi folks,
Has anyone had any luck getting their own features or shorts listed on IMDB? I tried to list my recent short film, Tender Words, but got a reply a month later saying the application hadn't been looked at, as 1) I haven't supplied enough info and 2) It's not a high enough priority. It's been a finalist in a couple of film fests and I've tried to put in as much info as possible... I'm guessing it's a low priority merely cos it's a short film. Are there any tricks out there for raising the priority and getting it on IMDB? Thanks, Doug. |

Keep trying, Doug.
It took them more effort to send you a letter than it did to put your film up in the database. It took them a little while, but they finally got my (sole) credit up, and it was a short. (Hey hey, I'm one degree of separation from Napoleon Dynamite. And two away from Luc Besson.)

It is extremely slow and difficult if none of your cast or crew have previous credits and are already in the database.
I had to wait well over 6 months before Shadow Girl was listed on imdb. I think what really helps speeding things up is if you can give them links to festival websites mentionning your film and/or online review sites. I have to say I was already listed as AD on imdb which probably also helped. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0415268/
