Proc amps?
Can anyone recommend a good midrange proc amp?
And for those of you using proc amps... Are you running footage through the amp when digitizing or only when you output to tape? Thanks! |

Many of the NLE's today include a Proc Amp and I would guess that's what the majority of DV editors are using. The software Proc Amps have more features than a stand alone Proc Amp. Programs like After Effects also include a Proc Amp. Do you need one for analog footage? If so, Proc Amps are included in many transcoders. You might look at Laird http://www.lairdtelemedia.com/ and DPS http://www.dps.com/ for units that might meet your needs. I use the Proc Amp built in to Final Cut Pro for simple needs and for complex corrections I use Color Finesse, a plug in to After Effects.

Yeah, I use my scopes quite a bit.
I was wondering what peoples experiences were with hardware proc amps like the Studio 1. I am also wondering about distribution amps.... Thanks! |
