Sony DCR-PC109 - Good Cam!?
so ive been looking at a whole bunch of options for my next new toy, and i wanted something that would take nice video that would look good on dvd, fairly compact...that i can take on a trip without too much hastle...and something with pretty good low light capibilities..
ive been looking at the panasonic dv953, but it sucks in low light...vx2000, but i dont really have the money for one of those right now... my friend brought up the pc109. he said its an awesome camera with footage that rivals the vx2k...low light is also pretty good...its compact and can be had for well under 1k... anyone have any experience with this camera? any other suggestions??? thanks in advance!

Its 16:9 mode would be superior to the VX2000 but the quality issues would stop there.
Its a great little cam with so-so low light performance and there again won't come close to VX2000. The PC109 replaced the PC105 and they are pretty much the same cam. Here is a review of the PC105 with a few sample frames and stills. http://www.dvspot.com/reviews/sony/p...ew/index.shtml Maybe give the now discontinued/clearance Optura 300 a look. http://www.dvspot.com/reviews/canon/...ew/index.shtml |
