Circular Polarizng Filter, importaant for a video camera?

I am new into video camear...was old time film camera use and know how important a Polarizng Filter is..
Did see too much filter discussion here, so I wonder if a Polarizng Filter is ever needed for a DV camera?
If the answer is yes, can I just use the filters that designed for normal film camera (like B&W or Nikon brand)?
Thanks.

Just get a linear polarizer for masking out reflections and for fuller color saturated footage.
