That's cool. I was just wondering if the call signs were based on codes for geographic location or something else?

It sure does Dylan. Call signs starting with va, thru vg some x's & c' are used by Canadian hams. w, k, a's for the US, and the numeric 1-0 usually indicate a general location ie. 4= south east US. A good site for information would be www.qrz.com. all the best Jim
