New for Canon in 2004?

Aside from the 20 point & shoot digicams, is there any info on what's coming from Canon in terms of DV cameras? New XL, or GL???? HDV---- anything??

3 months into the new year and not much has been said......wondering what's up Canon's sleeve this year- if anything at all!

Regarding HDV, it should be kept in mind that the format was only recently agreed upon by the consortium of manufacturers a few months ago. The process of turning a design concept into a camcorder ready for the marketplace usually takes 12 - 18 months. So I would not expect very many HDV models this year at all, if any. Hope this helps,

Just from the different sites I've seen and tidbit here and there, canon keeps pretty tight lipped about that stuff.

Chances are low for something new in the 2-4k cam range coming out soon.

However, Christmas season may be a different story.

In any case. most manufacturers who have announced new cameras will have all their products out by early spring or summer.

If you need somehting now, theres a lot to pick from. If you can wait, then wiat :)
