Panasonic SV-AV100 discussion?
I've been looking around for discussion of the new Panasonic SV-AV100. I was suprised not to see much mention of it in these forums. Does anybody know of other camcorder discussion forums that might have more on this model? Thanks. Ken

It doesn't really offer the features that attract prosumers or professionals. The limitation of MPEG 2 recording and limited pro features make it less desirable. However, the compact size and weight make it very desirable to consumers intent on traveling very light.

Thanks for the response. So it sounds like I should be looking at a site more oriented towards consumers. Can anyone recommend an active camcorder community more geared towards consumers? Thanks. Ken |

You might try Camcorder Info as source for more consumer oriented products. However, I don't recall any reviews of the SV-AV100. Have you tried a search on Google yet?

I haven't talked to anyone that actually owns one yet, but it seems interesting. There are some members here interested in the small cams. Can you post any links to the reviews you have found?

Thanks for the input. This may help some people looking for a new camera.

www.panasonic-europe.com is also worth a look for anyone interested in the sv-av100. (Better site than the U.S version.)
