GR-D30 Mini DV Camcorder
Anyone know if this JVC Camcorder (GR-D30 Mini DV Camcorder, 16x Optical/700x Digital Zoom, B/W Viewfinder, 2.5" LCD Screen) is any good - will it last as a deck for editing? Any help is appreciated...

Consumer Reports says that JVC makes the least reliable camcorders and Sony the most reliable. However, it's still pretty much pure speculation how robust JVC cams are for deck use. There doesn't seem to be many reports on this forum about camcorders breaking down from use as a deck.

Yeah Glenn,
I did a search and read all that stuff, just didn't know if anyone had info they hadn't posted on it yet. At $300, I would say it's a pretty good deal! Especially for having Stereo outs. I'll let you know how it is, sitting on the desk. Thanks for the info. Clay
