3m Super 77 spray adhesive works well, but don't get it all the way to the edges and take care that it ONLY goes where you want it to be. I've done upholstery and foam and "ozite" cabinets for PA and this is pretty decent stuff and the least messy of the choices, but you still need to respect it. The other "industry" stuff makes spider webs that float everywhere while your trying to work with it and it'll drive you nuts unless the air is dead still around you.
If you get ANY type of foam adhesive on an open surface it'll stay a bit tacky almost forever... eventually warranting a remedy or else a short stay at the mental hospital. I should add that unless the four seperate layers are a problem I'd accept it as four layers. Does everybody who buys this case try this idea or do they forget about it and accept the layers? The suspension effect of the Pelican design is probably more effective as layers anyway... once you unify those layers you'll have a lateral "rigidity" that wasn't there before... |
