Royalty Free Footage?

I need some footage of an airliner landing... I'm sorta scared to film it myself even though I live near 2 fairly small airports (John Wayne & Long Beach). I'm afraid someone will confiscate my GL2 and put me in jail for terrorism or something. I do want to put up a foreign language sign on the fence or on a stick to give it the feel of being in a foreign country.

Any suggestions?

John,

You missed the dark thunderstorms over the Apple Valley several weeks ago. Best lightning show in years. If you see the towering clouds building up over the mountains head on out there.

I found this on eBay, don't know if the exact footage that you want is there, but it might be!

John,

A lot of airfields have special sections for plane lovers where
they can watch the planes come in and take off. A lot of people
are standing there with binoculars, photo equipment and video
stuff (at least here in Holland).

If they don't have such an area then you might just contact
their Public Relations office. Since they are small this shouldn't
be too hard. If you explain what you want to do and why
and tell them when you are going to be there I doubt it will
be a problem as long as you stay behind the fences etc.

Storm Clouds

www.stormfootage.com has stock weather footage. There are lots of other sites. Can be expensive though, especially for short clips. You might want to try www.artbeats.com also -- great service from those folks.

John Aoki,

Are you still looking for stock footage?
I'm looking for a few things also, we may work out some sort of trade.
