Can Non-HD Camera Export HD Tapes?
I was just wondering if I can take tapes shot in HD, put them in a non HD mini DV camera, and export them to my computer with FCP as HD files?

From what I'm aware of, the deck must match the format. So HDV needs an HDV deck, DVCPro HD needs DVCPRO HD, etc. I beleive many of the HD-HDV decks can play and export DV but not the other way around.
