DIY sliding light track?

Not sure what to call it. But I am trying to build a horizontal track that runs the length of one of my walls. I want to be able to move a light along it and for the light to be attached to a small, pivoting arm. This will give me tons of flexibility for placing a back light. I am filming in a small room and this is the only way I can think of to inexpensively place a light anywhere behind me at a wide range of look angles.

What do you think?

thanks,

brian
