VariZoom tripod
Does anybody have any feedback on this particular VariZoom tripod? Most of my work is done in the desert so I don't want to spend money on a high end tripod to have it beat in the dirt.

Hi Bob.................
Wrong Forum, should be "Support Your Local Camera", but I'll answer anyway.
You neglected to mention what you're shooting with, so no clues to it's actual use there, but I wouldn't stick that thing under anything more potent than a box brownie. It doesn't even have an industry standard bowl. I don't understand what your objection is to a real tripod system, they can take anything that's thrown at them and more. However, by "high end" I'm talking $1K plus, not one of those toys. I'd suggest "back to the drawing board", but if this is the level of gear you're seriously looking at, I don't think the drawing board's going to help much. CS |
