URGENT Problem
I am helping some friends make a video for a banquet tommorow night. The clips we are using are from several various camera. We are not worried about color correction or nothing like that. This is just a highlight video for a PeeWee football team.
However the problem I am having is converting a .MOD into a .AVI so that I can edit with my NLE. (Adobe premire) The .MOD file is on a Hard Drive from a JVC Camcorder. We are going to combine these files with some XL2 and small HD files. It seems that only problem is the .MOD files? If you have any ideas please pass them along. |

.MOD files are MPEG transport stream used in hard drive based camcorders (JVC, Canon), and any decent editor should be able to import them without issues.
In some cases renaming the extension to .mpg or .mpeg helps. If all else failes, try MPEG Streamclip to get rid of the extra data and save as traditional mpeg (no transcoding will take place). |
