Music Video near completion but..
I used my new home built crane to shoot this video for a friends band, a lot went into this but it all came down to one day (7 hours of being on location) to get this project complete. I shot the video on a Military Base, on the flight line with an F-18 so I didn't have much time to get this shoot exactly the way I would have liked to but all the same, it came out ok so far.
I have a few questions.. I am trying to keep the quality of the video yet shrink it down to be able to download - the sucking of an elephant through a straw for lack of better words. I got it down to 16 megs but I know what is going to happen when I post it. Is there any way to get it down to about 5 meg with quality? I did a render with DV 24p (23-32 pulldown), it takes the sharp and crisp video look away yet still does not look anywhere near what I expected. Any ideas on this? I also have pictures that will soon be posted of the behind the scenes goodies.. If you are interested - email me and I will point you to a directory.

Hey, I'm glad to hear it turned out alright. 16MB is fine for most people here, even if someones on Dialup, 16MB isn't that bad for them, thats a overnighter though. :D
I think we all would be interested in seeing behind the scenes pictures, go ahead and post em. |

I run a climbing media website, and all of my videos are quicktime.. I use sorensen 3 codec, qdesign2 music.. and 500 kbits/sec rate.. Looks nice, loads fast.. Hope this helps.

I use a PC (Piece of Crap) to edit - i have yet to step up to the Mac.. Using Vegas right now.. It has the ability to do net video but it kills the quality.

Kevin- You can still do QuickTime on a PC. All you need is the Sorrenson compressor, and it should work thru your NLE. Be warned... It is pricey, but well worth the results.
