Best Software for buring discs
What do you use to make back up data dvds or cds from the mac. I want to delete a pile of data onto DL dvds but need the right software as disk utility doesn't cut it.

On the Mac platform, Toast is the most highly recommended burning software. However, using Disk Utility to create an image and then burn that image to a disc is the most bullet proof way of burning data I know of. The drawback to this method is that it creates Mac only compatible discs. Whereas Finder of Toast will create "universal" discs. I have never (knock on wood) had a Disk Image/Disk Utility back up disc fail to load. Prior to that, if I go back say 6-years, I have about a 20% disc fail rate on back ups. Meaning the discs simply don't load. All these disks were verified at the time of burn and have been properly stored.
