Surveillance Cameras

Hopefully this applies here.

I'm interested in some info/feedback on Surveillance Cameras to be installed in a board room so that the meetings can be recorded for broadcasting on cable access. Now i know that this is not the best way but I figured that by now, cameras this small must be able to create very sharp, clear SD video at a good price.

I'd like to be able to record to a portable drive or a server. At least, that seems the most idea, practical way.

Also, please nothing cheap like those ones you see in best buy, radio shack or infomercials. I'm interested in something that will be good for the long haul.

thank you all for the info.

Shawn...short on time right now. I'll comment in more detail later. Check out posts made by me. Also check out www.romega.us and visit the 'City Commission' link. There you will find video on demand of meetings filmed just as you are wanting to do.

Shawn:

Check the JVC Pro Products website and look at the B-stock products on sale. They had exactly what you need a week or so ago at an unbelievable price. With any system like you are envisioning, good audio will be another matter.

This link might get you close to the link you need. This is the one I recently setup.
