How to extract JVC camerasettings from AVI
I have used the program from http://www.dvmp.co.uk/ to view what aperture, gain, exposure and so on my old Sony PAL uses in different conditions. But when I'm using my other camera, a JVC GR-DF550 NTSC the program just shows a stroke in all fields.
Are there other programs of this type available that I can try? Doesn't the JVC save that sort of data in it's stream? I'm using Adobe Premiere to transfer video from camera to PC as an AVI-file, if that affects anything. |

There are no guarantees that any particular camera will store all of the info on tape. Some very inexpensive models just store the date and time - not even timecode! You might be interested to know that a major new version of DVMP Pro just been released with player enhancements and lots of tools, including a powerful file splitter (splits by timecode, date&time, user bits or tape index), and DV metadata editor. http://www.dvmp.co.uk |
