Really Can't Decide....

Over the past couple of weeks I have been grappling over what new camera I should buy. I primarily film sports, so clarity is a must, but I also enjoy shooting short movies, so I would also love to have a cinema/24p etc. mode. Now, you are probably thinking: HV20!

BUT- I am not so sure that the HV20, coupled with its stabilization issues, is the right camera for me.

Another factor I have been considering is HD vs. SD. I already have FCE 3.5, which CAN edit HD, so that is not an issue for me. In addition, although I may not be burning an HD DVD, I have heard that HD footage still looks much better than SD footage.

That being said, here are the few camcorders I have been exploring:

1. Sony VX2100 (Ruggedness is VERY important to me)
2. Canon HV20
3. Canon GL2
4. JVC HD-7

What do you think?
If you think I should check out a different camera, PLEASE let me know! Just keep in mind that my budget is around $2,400
