Converting Frames to Files?
I have seen this discussed, but cannot find it.
Are there any shareware (or pay) programs that will capture or export video to an image format - one file per frame? I have Googled this for the last hour and have not found what I am looking for. I am wanting to take a video clip, convert it to individual image files, then convert each file to a drawing in Photoshop, then re-import and convert back to a video clip. Anyone ever tried something like this? thanks...alan |

Image sequences is probably what you are looking for.
Many NLEs can export them. Quicktime (you need Pro??) will do it. Virtualdub and virtualdubmod and VLC media player likely do it. Rad Video Tools will do it. 2- After Effects is probably a better way of doing things. (Photoshop is slower in comparison.) What are you trying to do? |

sounds like After Effects
You might want to give the trial version of After Effects a spin. As Glenn says, this sounds like exactly the sort of thing that you can do with After Effects.
