MXF differences
I have had to deal with getting data from P2 cards into Vegas, which I understand handles MXF files. I subsequently learned that it doesn't support "Panasonic" MXF files. So off to plan B.
My question: why are the formats different if the point of the format is to be a standard? Why can an NLE edit, say, Sony MXF but not Panasonic MXF? Any all enlightenment greatly appreciated. Ciao, marks |

There are variants on the MXF container. Not all programs support all the variants.
