lens conversion: HD/35 motion/35 stills
I'm trying to access a simple conversion formula
(potentially in the form of a published table!) for focal length on an HD camera versus either 35 mm motion lenses, or 35 mm stills. I realize there are HD cameras with various sensor sizes, and therefore different focal length factors. But let's say a high end HD camera like the Panasonic 900 series. (Are these 2/3" sensors?) Is this a naive request? Can anyone shed some light on the conversion tables I'm after? Thanks! Jim Allodi |

Thanks for the thought Brian, but I'm don't
understand the pananvision converter! I'm too dumb maybe, but I'm not following the width data it wants. The 'help' doesn't help. I need something as simple as a director's viewfinder, which lists the converstions for the various focal lengths without getting into frame widths, or sensor widths. Maybe I'm asking for something too simple to exist. |
