Anton Bauer Charger
Hey!
I plan on purchasing a gold-mount adapter and 2 or 3 Hytron 50 batteries for my XL2. But the chargers are super expensive! AB's CHEAPEST charger is $500! Maybe that's not a lot in the pro world, but it does seem a little high to me when the batteries themselves only cost $250. Anyway, my question is this: would some other charger such as this one work? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...y_Charger.html I'm sure AB's chargers are expensive for a reason - are the cheaper Varizoom chargers worth their cost? Thanks, Dale |

The reason the AB charger is so expensive is 1) you're paying for the name and 2) more importantly-depending on which charger you buy it will not only charge but also condition the batteries thus giving longer life to them. I'm a confirmed AB guy and have never ever ever had a problem with any of their stuff.
