QT question in FCP

When I capture a clip in FCP and look at the clip on my HD. FCP has broken the clip up into a sound and movie and put in different folders. The movie clips that are like this have a –v at the end of the file name. This is probably a setting in FCP which does this. l can’t find were it is located. I want the clips captured to have the sound and the movie together (not separated.)

Can someone help me on this?

Thanks, Ron

Go to Final Cut Pro > System Settings in the file menu or [Shift] + Q and uncheck the box that says "Capture Audio and Video to Separate Files."

Odd that it would have gotten that way.

The FCP training on Lynda.com has good settings tutorials IMO. You might check that out.
