settings?

I have some footages shot on an XL2 in 16:9 mode (PAL).

Does it matter if I unsqueeze the footages or not during digitising?
Secondly, what should be the correct export settings for XL2 16:9 footages? 1024x576 or 960x576?

Thanks

The digitizing has already been done in your camcoder. When you capture to your computer, basically you transfer a file; you don't have options.

The PAL standard works with 720x576 pixels regardless of the aspect ratio. If the footage is 16x9, then the only difference is that it's "flagged" as such.

Ok, thanks for that.

Secondly, since I shot the project in 25p mode, would it make sense to edit on a 25p timeline or there is no difference between a 25p timeline and 25i/50i timeline?
