Annoying frame problem

I am using Avid Pro and have sped up two different clips by 5000% (Sunrise).
Anyway when I put them together in the timeline they are fine, BUT when I put a transition between them, there’s a frame there that shouldn’t be and it gets in the way.

The frame is right in the middle of the two clips, and it is material that I have edited out in the source window before splicing on the timeline.

Its strange how its there with an effect, but not there otherwise. I have tried lifting/extracting the frame to no luck.

Any help on what’s going on would be much appreciated

Thank you
