Discreet Combustion 2.1

Is anyone using Combustion? Now that it is priced under $1000 it looks like a good package.
I'd like to hear how people feel this compares to AE?

thanks,
chris

i just got it .. have never used AE ..
keep eye out on discreets site .. twice they have offered it at 995 with the 8 disc DVD training ( $395 ) set included. if you go to a show ( like the cows next week) they usually have it for 895 ( no DVD) but you never know what special they'll have at shows .. a year ago Combustion was $5000.

the same question has been asked over on the COW a few times.
look back in december 02 and again in Jan 03

If they have a demo available I suggest you check it out! No better
way then you try it yourself before you buy. $1000 is a lot of
money.

Yeah I totally agree Rob. I'm the only one that can really make those comparisons.
There is a demo that I've been playing with. The UI is very tuff to get used to since I'm such a hard core Windows guy.
