Help with AE export using Avid DV compressor

I've been trying to render out a clip from After Effects 6.0 using the Avid DV compressor but I only seem to get a gray frame with rivets.

I've tried using all combinations of rendering RGB,million colors, premultiplied.


The clip is exported from Avid 3.5 using the Avid DV compressor -- and that works fine, I can successfully import that clip into AE but --

Any ideas why I can't render out a clip from AE 6.0 using the same Avid DV compressor ?

As an aside ... I'm am using the upgraded codec package from Avid -- I keep getting a "cannot export bin error" when I try to export from Avid using the "same as source" + "use Avid codec". With the upgraded codec package, the Avid DV compressor shows up on the custom codec pull down menu.

I'm trying to avoid recompressing in a different codec when I re-import that clip back into Avid which then has to re-compress yet again, I believe.
