I think we are starting to cover some old ground here. I also believe that Avid is the closest NLE to FCP (the original question of this thread). I base this being a certified Avid editor and my use of FCP for over 2 years. I suggest that you try the free versions of VV3 and Avid Xpress when it becomes available soon. Enough said.
