Editing Hardware at DVinfo.net

OK, granted we could go on and on about which editing software and PC vs. Mac, BUT...

Beyond the minimum requirements to your editing program, what would be the list of hardware is a neccesity?

What would be "nice to Have"? (example: second monitor? program monitor?)

What would be great to have if I had money to burn? (probably something really cool that I didn't know exists :)

I would love to find a miniDV drive for my PC. Works like a deck, frees up desk space.

External raid storage solutions for uncompressed HD.

Digibeta deck so I don't have to always rent one.

A custom designed edit suite.

Higher paying clients...
