Which card should I buy for use with MediaStudio?
I am just about to shoot my first documentary as a learning excercise. I have chosen MediaStudio 8 (on my PC) as the eventual editing software as I used earlier versions several years ago and liked the ease of use.
My plan at the editing stage is to use the PC connected to a TV to monitor things as I go, then burn the finished documentary straight to DVD. I think this is all we need for now - the capacity to view on an external monitor. I'd like some recommendations as to which card to use, up to about $300. My PC is a few years old (Pentium 4 2.4g, with 1 GB of RAM). It does have Firewire already as I use it primarily for music production. |

An ATI All-In-Wonder is very useful. Theater Mode plays fullscreen video via the TV-outs so you can monitor what you are doing as you go along.

Thanks Stephen. I have googled and ebayed for the All In Wonder and have the following results:
http://shop.ati.com/searchresults.asp?dept_id=16 http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/sear...&fsop=1&fsoo=1 There's several models available - is there one that would be particularly suited to my needs or are they all much the same? As some of them seem geared to gaming I may not need all the bells and whistles provided. |
