Software for creating Demo CD/DVD
Hi all
Need some help here as there are a myriad of progs out there which can create an autorun cd and/or dvd (would like the software to be able to do both). What I would like to hear from the forum readers are which progs they use and their recommendation Many thanks

You could use the freeware Karen's Autorun.inf Editor (Web site: http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptautorun.asp). Be aware that: 1) The autorun file only works on Windows computers. There is no solution for Mac-based computers. 2) It will not work on Windows computers on which the user has turned off the autorun feature.
If you are looking to launch a program to play a video CD/DVD, then be aware that the only program pretty much guaranteed to be on every Windows machine is Windows Media Player. Personally, I would not worry about the autorun feature. If a user has left the autorun feature enabled on their computer then in all likelihood a media player has already associated itself with CD/DVD video playback, and it would automatically start when the disk is inserted. If the user has the feature disabled then it is up to them to start the CD/DVD playing. |
