Dynamic Link Between PPro CS4 and AE CS4
Guys,
I really some help. I have footage which i was editing in Premiere CS4 and for some clips i "dynamic linked" into After Effects CS4 to apply Remove Grain. I now actually want to remove the dynamic link to have my Premiere clips back to their original state. I've tried deleting the linked Composition in Premiere but that deletes the whole clip off my timeline. I also tried removing it in After Effects but then the media in Premiere show "Media Offline". I really need to get this fixed. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no direct way to revert dynamic linking in premiere.
Easy workaround that comes to mind: In addition to dynamic link, PP and AE also support copy/paste between programs. Select all the clips in AE composition timeline, (remove all effects and changes), copy and then paste them back in PP sequence timeline. After you make sure everything is back the way you wanted you can simply delete the dynamic link. In the future I suggest that before you turn clips into a dynamic link, you duplicate the clip/s in premiere to a layer above the originals, and then dynamic link the duplicates. This way if you later change your mind you can simply delete the dynamic link, and you have the original clips intact in the layer beneath. hope this helps :) |

Good plan of making a copy prior to the dynamic link, learned my lesson:). |
