Problems uploading from a VX1000
I have a VX1000, and I am currently using Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 on my computer. When I plug in a basic video camera, everything works fine, but when I plug in mine, the computer doesn't recognise the camera. Does anyone know of any way to fix this?

It sounds like:
1) a broken firewire cable 2) a busted firewire port on your camera However, you do have to clarify some things: - what is a/the basic camera? - what do you exactly mean when you say "the computer doesn't recognise the camera". What are you expecting to see? - can you capture within Premiere Pro even if "the computer doesn't recognise the camera"? - try a program like www.scenalyzer.com or Windows Movie Maker (comes with XP), see if you can capture with that
