Mobile LIVE video editing
Hello everyone,
We are at a researching phase to launch a live HD streaming TV channel that will probably be using the new NewTek TriCaster TCXD300 (portable Live HD production system) in tandem with the new Sony HXRNX5U. My question is; Is there a wireless solution that will allow connecting three of these cameras to the TriCaster TCXD300 using HD-SDI input/output? Something similar to the Sennheiser Evolution Wireless Bodypack system but for HD video/audio bandwidth. This way we will travel to the place where interviews will be conducted and have a crew of only 5 people (3 cam operators, a live video editor, and the interviewer) make the whole interview and at the end of it have the final finished video - complete with title intros, lower 3rd's, end credits etc. Imagine 3 cam operators, two operating on tripods, one handheld, all wirelessly transmitting HD-SDI signal to the TriCaster TCXD300 which operates another crew member who cuts live the whole interview between the three cams. Multicam live editing is what I think the term is... Is there a wireless solution like that that will not compromise on HD video/audio quality? What are your thoughts?
