portable "dte" disk recorder

anybody with experience using the "Focus FS-4 Firestore DTE (direct to editing) disk recorder.

i know it's compatible with my gl2, but any drawbacks on the recorder.
is it compatible with "vegas studio". just want to save some time editing, nothing major. just family gathering and grad. etc.. etc...

It will work fine with VMS. Just connect it to your computer and it will appear as a hard drive. Copy the files to your main hard drive and you'll be ready to use it again.
