Color Correction and Black and White
This may be a simple question for some with more experience, but I was trying to experiment with some sample clips tonight, wanting to do some color correction, brightness/contrast corrections and try my hand at some turning some samples into black and white clips.
I'm using Premiere 6.0. I've found the Effect Pallette and the Effects Window. I even found the contrast/brightness effect. But I did not find any color correction effect nor did I find a black/white effect (though the help file showed a b/w effect. Lastly, I could not get the effect that I tried out of the sample clip. Again, HELP stated to drag the effect from the Pallette window to the trash can, but my trash can seems to be 'unworking' or is shaded like it isn't available. I know I'm probably just missing a simple step somewhere, but if anyone has a quick answer to these questions, I would appreciate it.

Note to Self . . .
No one will believe this, but I don't care. I left the computer, went to dinner and upon my return, have found everything I couldn't find in the post above . . . but I did NOT have a black/white effect when I went to dinner (Uh-huh, right. Let's stay away from this guy.)
Thanks anyway.
