Trouble Capturing audio from XL1
I'm capturing off my XL1 through firewire onto my notebook (through a PCMCIA adapter) using Adobe Premiere pro 1.5. The only problem is I can't get channels 3 and 4 through the firewire (if I watch my tapes on my TV I can get all the channels using the analog outs).
Is it possible to get all the channels through firewire? Do I need a capture card? |

Download and buy Scenalyzer Live. It will capture Video+Stereo 1 into an AVI file while simultaneously capturing Stereo 2 into a separate WAV file via firewire.

I tried Scenalyzer, but I'm have the same problem. At this point I'm thinking it's a hardware issue with my capture card, but I'm not sure.

Is it a standard firewire port? If yes, that should not be the problem.
Did you change the settings in Scenalyzer and tell it to capture the "secondary stereo channel if available"? It's a setting in the preferences that must be turned on.

Finally figured that out. Thank you. Now it's working. Just have to get used to the program, they don't have the greatest help page.
