Samsung 19inch LCD, 8ms or 16ms?

hi all,

thinking of getting a Samsung 19inch LCD to replace my current Samsung 19inch CRT monitor.

theres two available, one with 8ms delay & the other with 16ms delay. I'm using Premiere Pro 1.5. Is there much benefit going with the faster 8ms LCD? Has anyone used the Samsung 19inch LCD's & if so do you like it?

FYI, the price is AU$630 for the 16ms model & AU$680 for the 8ms model.

Thanks........

Either one should be fine for video editing purpouses as long as they have fairly accurate color reproduction. LCD's aren't able to reproduce colors as well as CRT's, however, in the realm of LCD's Samsung could probably be considered the best.

If you plan on doing any gaming or anything else that would be hindered by 'ghosting' then you might want to opt for the 8ms one. Although 16ms is also considered a fairly quick response time.

It would seem to me that the 8ms panel might also be newer - in which case there might be other changes that would make it worth the extra money. Either way its only $50 - might as well get the best right?
