Tryin to squeeze out a small high qual qt in prem pro. Using the Sorrenson 3 for the vid. Anyone have a good line on which compressor works best for the audio?

Cheers

Commercial: Qdesign music is good for backwards compatibility (QT3) and good quality. Check out the trailers on apple.com

mp3 is available with some encoding programs (old Cleaner?) and if you buy the fraunhofer mp3 plug-in.

Free: Use the MPEG4 audio codec out of Quicktime Pro or another program. Needs QT6, excellent quality/compression.

Use IMA 4:1. Lossless on everything but highly dynamic material. Very low compression (fixed 4:1 compression ratio, as opposed to 10:1+ with MPEG4).
