Thanks for all the advice !!!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the positive input and pro's and cons of each software. It's a tough decision because it seems that each program has it;s strengths and weakness.
I will probably go with Avid not pro and Vegas to back it up, would that be a bad idea to have loaded on my box at once ?

There should be no problems having both loaded on the same machine. Just make sure you're machine is compatible with Avid.
