A free NLE?
I've been searching for a "free" NLE software for weeks without any luck. Is there any?

Yes, avid make a free one, and if you run Linux on your PC, then I think there's Cinnelera, which is also free.

If you're using Windows XP, Microsoft has a decent free NLE available at this URL:
