* * ACID - - Audio Composition * *
I will be using Sonic Foundry's Acid to compose for my film. I've ordered the Composer Group (5 Disks).
Anybody ever use these? Were you satisfied? Or was it too mechanical? Opinions... Thanks in advance... Derrick ODO Productions |

I haven't used that particular group of discs, but we've used Acid before to good effect. I've only used it for :30 sec sorts of things, and in that time period you can quickly generate some great sounding stuff. It's not long enough for the repetition to be an issue. All in all, I'd give it a big thumbs up as a package.
It's probably going to be a little more challenging to score an entire film with Acid, but I suspect that if you have some muscial talent, you can probably do a decent job with it. |

<- - Thanks Ralph...
I have some musical avenues to pursue and I am not underestimating the power of 'silence.' If it works out well for the short I am working... Its going to be difficult to score, however, open to the challenge... Thanks for the input.. I just came back from Albuquerque, NM in early September. The green and red chilis are awesome. Not to mention the local Carne Adovado (Can't remember how its spelled.) The Rio Grande and surrounding landscape seems extra scarred by the draught. I digress... Good Food. Cheers! |
